The Suppressor Soft Shell Jacket is purpose-built for the elements hunters face from the waning days of summer through the frigid closing day of the season. This windproof fabrication delivers incredible durability and stretch for unrestricted mobility in harsh environments with PFAS-free water resistance to shed light rain and snow. The jacket features two oversized, zippered chest vents for maximum heat dumping during periods of high exertion and strategically mapped hand pockets that provide easy access even when wearing a pack or bino harness. Backed with a soft, micro-fleece lining for all-day comfort, Suppressor Soft Shell is an essential piece of gear for the dedicated western hunter.

I really wanted to like this jacket, but a few design choices keep me from recommending it, especially the fit. I'm 5'7", 140 lb, athletic build and ordered a medium.

1. Short cut. When I raised my arms overhead, the hem rode up to almost my belly button. I didn’t wear it in the field, but I’m concerned the length would leave my lower back exposed when sitting.

2. Flared hips. The jacket flares out a lot around the hips. With an athletic build, it was too much and didn’t look or feel flattering. I could have tried a size down, but I think a small would be too tight in the shoulders and layering underneath.

3. Limited pockets. There are two hand pockets and nothing else: no internal, sleeve, or chest pockets. The chest vents are a nice alternative to pit zips when wearing a pack, but I’m not sure they’re worth giving up pocket space.

I really liked that the sleeves were lined with a fabric that makes it easy to put on over a sweatshirt or fleece layer without the sleeves getting caught and bunching up.

I don't know, it was a gift for someone. I'm sure they like it.

Love this jacket! It’s almost perfect. I was very hesitant about the chest vents and almost bought a competitors windproof softshell but after consulting some people about it I decided to try this one. It’s awesome! It really dumps heat, all the zippers are so smooth and can use one handed as well, and I love the two way zipper feature just like on the north range jacket. Seemed to be windproof but the real test will be this fall in colder wind temps. Fit was perfect. 5’3” 41 bust-42 waist and large was spot on, not to lose and not to tight. I could definitely fit a base layer and a thick mid layer like the furnace under it and still be comfortable. Only thing I don’t like and this is just a personal preference was the cuffs having Velcro. I prefer a stretch cuff but otherwise this jacket is exactly what I needed in my kit!

This jacket is amazing! The chest zips are a huge improvement for venting heat, compared to pit zips on other brands of this style jacket. Wind resistance is very good as well. Highly recommend this jacket
